Geotechnical technicians support geotechnical engineering and material design through observation and testing needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform soil, concrete, and asphalt field & lab tests.
- Compare test results per project specifications.
- Provide guidance to clients on construction sites based on test results received.
- Communicate daily with project managers and complete field paperwork daily.
- Maintain and calibrate field equipment.
Requirements:
- Experience with soil and concrete testing and procedures required.
- ACI and Nuclear Gage Certifications preferred, not required.
- General knowledge of soil classifications and testing is required.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in an environment that can involve frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying 75+ pounds, and working indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Insurable driving record and maintaining a valid driver’s license.
Experience:
One-year materials testing experience is preferred. ACI, Nuclear Gage, and NICET certifications are preferred, but not required. We can train and assist the candidate with earning certifications if the candidate demonstrates high integrity and interest to learn.

Salary: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
