The Civil Engineer will prepare drainage reports, stormwater management plans, construction documents, and specifications including the design of street and utility infrastructure, signing and striping, grading, stormwater and detention, erosion control, cost estimating, etc. The candidate should have the ability to apply proven Engineering Principles and Practices to the tasks assigned.
Duties for the position of Civil Engineer shall include:
- Developing detailed designs
- Doing feasibility assessments and site observations
- Preparing and implementing project plans
- Researching and providing estimates for projects
- Reviewing government regulations and ordinances
- Making recommendations or presenting alternative solutions to problems
- Confidently liaising with clients and other professional subcontractors
- Project management duties (e.g. managing budgets, resources, and deadlines; acquiring and compiling quotes, etc.)
The Civil Engineer candidate should be a motivated and technically driven individual who wants to join a company with excellent opportunities for career growth and development. The candidate should have:
- S. in Engineering
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of Civil Engineering Design experience
- E. license preferred but not required. If not licensed, the candidate should be on track to be licensed within approximately a year
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD- Knowledge and experience with other design software a plus
