Landmark EPC has deep roots in Northern Colorado, stretching back to 1969, when the firm was originally founded as Hogan & Olhausen by Dale Olhausen and Ron Hogan. Focused on civil engineering, surveying, and planning, the company quickly built a reputation for technical excellence and hard-earned field knowledge.
By 1975, the firm had expanded its capabilities with its own in-house drill rig, launching a geotechnical services division that remains a cornerstone of the company’s expertise.
In 1978, Landmark became one of the first survey firms in the region to adopt the HP 3820 electronic total station, cementing its place on the leading edge of data-driven field engineering.
Following the departure of Ron Hogan, the company was restructured and rebranded as Landmark Engineering Ltd. in 1982. From there, Landmark grew steadily—adding geotech, soils testing, and structural engineering services—while relocating operations to larger facilities along Eisenhower Boulevard in Loveland, Colorado.
In 2002, founder Dale Olhausen sold the firm to a group of key employees, marking a transition in leadership but not in values. The company remained independently owned and operated for nearly two more decades, continuing to serve municipalities, energy clients, and developers throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
Today, Landmark EPC is a full-service Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm, delivering turnkey infrastructure solutions across the Mountain West.
While our name and scope have grown, we still carry the same boots-on-the-ground ethic and problem-solving DNA we were founded on in 1969.
Safety is at the core of everything we do at Landmark. With zero TRIR and certified safety programs, we ensure every project protects our team, clients, and communities. No job is ever too urgent to be done safely—and done right.
