Company History

From Survey Lines to
Full-Service EPC

Landmark EPC has deep roots in Northern Colorado, stretching back to 1969, when the firm was originally founded as Hogan & Olhausen by Dale Olhausen and Ron Hogan. Focused on civil engineering, surveying, and planning, the company quickly built a reputation for technical excellence and hard-earned field knowledge.

By 1975, the firm had expanded its capabilities with its own in-house drill rig, launching a geotechnical services division that remains a cornerstone of the company’s expertise.

In 1978, Landmark became one of the first survey firms in the region to adopt the HP 3820 electronic total station, cementing its place on the leading edge of data-driven field engineering.

Following the departure of Ron Hogan, the company was restructured and rebranded as Landmark Engineering Ltd. in 1982. From there, Landmark grew steadily—adding geotech, soils testing, and structural engineering services—while relocating operations to larger facilities along Eisenhower Boulevard in Loveland, Colorado.

In 2002, founder Dale Olhausen sold the firm to a group of key employees, marking a transition in leadership but not in values. The company remained independently owned and operated for nearly two more decades, continuing to serve municipalities, energy clients, and developers throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

Then, in 2020, Landmark Ltd. was acquired by Energy Solutions Corp, giving rise to a new chapter as Landmark EPC.
1969

Legacy of Expertise

Since 1969, our team has helped shape Northern Colorado with practical solutions and trusted engineering insight. What began as a civil engineering and surveying firm has grown into a respected name backed by decades of on-the-ground experience.

1975

Foundation Built Strong

In 1975, we introduced in-house geotechnical services with our own drill rig—marking a pivotal step in our growth. Today, that same division continues to be a key pillar of our integrated engineering approach.

1978

Ahead of the Curve

Back in 1978, we were among the first in the region to embrace electronic total station technology. That early adoption set the tone for our commitment to innovation and precision in every project.

1982

A New Chapter

In 1982, the firm became Landmark Engineering Ltd., marking a fresh era of growth and expansion. With new service lines and a move to larger facilities, our footprint—and capabilities—continued to scale.

2002

Passing the Torch

When ownership transitioned to a team of key employees in 2002, our core values stayed firmly in place. For nearly 20 more years, we remained independently owned—delivering trusted solutions across the Rocky Mountain region.

2020

Built for What’s Next

In 2020, Landmark Ltd. joined forces with Energy Solutions Corp, becoming Landmark EPC. This transition marked a bold new chapter—expanding our reach while honoring the legacy that got us here.
