Senior Computer-Aided Design Technician

Provides drafting and design of civil engineering projects and prepares drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches using computer aided design (CAD) software. Utilizes AutoCAD software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings. Coordinates and consults with engineers or to design projects. Transforms initial rough project designs into working documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Knowledge of Carlson Civil Suite a plus. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature with limited oversight from the supervisor. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology or equivalent combination of education and experience. Reports to the Director of Engineering or CAD Manager.

Pay: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour
