Assistant Land Planner

We are searching for a creative and dedicated design technician for a variety of land planning and civil engineering projects.

Duties include preparation of drawings and figures derived from specifications, standards, layouts, blueprints, and sketches using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools; transforms rough project designs into working documents; completes designs under the direct supervision of land planners, landscape architects and civil engineers; researches local government codes and standards; peer-reviews drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established zoning codes, specifications, and other standards.

At least three (3) years’ experience using Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint is required; at least two years’ experience using AutoCAD is required; experience using AutoCAD Civil3D, Trimble Sketch-Up, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, civil engineering technology or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work is partially independent and collaborative in nature with moderate oversight from the supervisor. Reports to the Planning Division Manager. Pay is negotiable depending upon experience.

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
